Corsair release Blue Vengeance DDR3 memory

Quote:
Corsair have announced several new products today, and they are also updating a new family member to their Vengeance series of memory kits.
Vengeance DDR3 memory is optimized for overclocking and compatibility, at an attractive price point. The original Vengeance modules, released to critical acclaim in November 2010, are equipped with aluminum heat spreaders anodized in Jet Black. The new modules offer performance identical to the original, with Cerulean Blue anodized heat spreaders that provide a great match with the latest 2nd generation Intel Core processor family motherboards from ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte. The striking blue color is shared with Corsair Gaming Series power supplies, allowing users to maintain a consistent color scheme throughout their system. Style-conscious system builders can also mix original Jet Black and new Cerulean Blue Vengeance modules for an even more dramatic look that matches their motherboard.

Kingston Genesis 4GB DDR3 2133MHz Review - Overclock3D

This does lead to the inevitible question of; "How different can one memory kit be from another?". After all, a dual channel kit is exactly that, surely?

Today, thanks to the Kingston Genesis 2133MHz Hyper-X X2 Grey Series we shall find out if there is a need to buy new memory for your LGA1155 board, or if your old P55-based kit will still cut the mustard.

Kingston HyperX T1 Black 6GB Memory Review - TBreak

Quote:
For anybody building a new LGA 1136 based system, or even looking to upgrade ram from an existing system should most definitely check out Kingston’s HyperX T1 Black triple-channel ram modules. The 6GB kit that I tested goes for around $100 which is well worth the price considering the performance and overclocking potential.

Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer PC3-12800 Review - OCIA

Quote:
Crucial has improved on their already great Ballistix Tracer series of memory with the new Smart Tracer product offering. In addition to switchable color illumination LEDs, they've also added the ability to control the brightness, or turn the lights off entirely, as well as giving the option between four different activity patterns. Furthermore, the free, downloadable M.O.D. utility provides SPD information as well as Temperature monitoring and live reporting via the Vista/7 sidebar widget.

Although only initially offered in either 2Gb, 4Gb or 6Gb kits of DDR3-1600, Crucial plans to introduce faster speeds in the near future. With the AMD Bulldozer core purportedly supporting DDR3-1866 as an official standard, it's our hope that they've got something like that or possibly even faster in the works.
