Sparkle Announces First Single Slot GeForce GTS 450 Graphics Card

http://techpowerup.com/133638/Sparkl...hics-Card.html

Quote:
SPARKLE Computer Co., Ltd., the professional VGA card manufacturer and supplier, today announced latest addition with one slot cooling solution to its GeForce GTS 450 series graphics cards, fitting the mainstream users' lifestyle with compact design.

One of the World's first GeForce GTS 450 graphics cards with one-slot cooling design with 2 heatpipes with copper fins, meeting the mainstream users' requirement for compact design. It use the premium 7010 centrifugal fan design featuring greater air volume to take the heat away and lower the temperature rapidly. The cooling fan has the speed modulation mechanism, so that the working noise will not be maintained at the full speed level, and this mechanism can increase the fan's life.

GALAXY GeForce GTX 460 with white PCB 1GB

http://vr-zone.com/articles/perfect-...pcb/10193.html

Quote:
Just last week, Expreview.com reported about a similar 768MB variant, which also sports the 6+2 phase VRM design, but has one less NEC Proadlizer at the back.
GALAXY has announced a new GeForce GTX 460 1GB graphics card with a white printed circuit board (PCB). If anyone remembers, SAPPHIRE used to make motherboards back in 2007 that sport a very flashy white PCB. Before you push the GALAXY aside as 'just another custom GeForce GTX 460', this GTX 460 1GB white edition, Christmas edition (or whatever you would like to call it), is loaded with premium components. These include:
  • 6-phase Volterra digital VRM for the GPU
  • 2-phase VRM for the memory
  • 4 NEC Proadlizers
The 6-phase VRM is responsible for supplying up to 240A of power and 85% power conversion efficiency. The switching frequency is rated at 1300KHz, a big jump from the 300KHz on analog VRM.
With the aid of a 2-phase memory VRM, the memory frequency is expected to be 2300MHz (4600MHz effective).
Core speed has not been finalized yet, as GALAXY's engineers are still working on fine tuning the balance between maximum clock speed and stability. However, the GF104 onboard is expected to operate between 900MHz and 1000MHz.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 Super Overclock

Now you're probably thinking this is just the latest addition to a long line of pre-overclocked GTX 460s, and in a way, that's true, but Gigabyte's GTX 460 Super Overclock stands out. Instead of just attaching a few stickers, applying a little extra voltage and shipping with higher out-the-box frequencies, Gigabyte's card is built from the ground up and claims to offer 20 per cent better performance, 19 per cent lower temperatures and an 8 per cent reduction in power consumption when compared to a reference model.

There is a red accent stripe, and this is exactly the same visual style we've seen on other ASUS non-reference products lately, including the TOP versions. In fact, other than the small difference in the length of the card, you wouldn't know the difference at a glance. The PCB itself is only 9.5" long, but the shroud extends just slightly further, leaving the overall length at 9.75".

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 TDP is 244W, includes 128 TMU, Benchmarks leaked

http://vr-zone.com/articles/report-n...ked/10202.html

Quote:
Following up on previously leaked specifications, Chinese website eNet has filled in some missing information - notably TDP and TMU count. The TDP of GeForce GTX 580 is at 244W, slightly lower than the GeForce GTX 480. The texture fillrate had been viewed by many as one of the bottlenecks for GF100, and eNet reports that GF110 effectively doubles the TMU count to 128 TMUs. Apart from this substantial improvement in TMU, the GF110 is a "full revision" and fixed version of GF100.

The net result is a performance improvement of between 15%-20% over the GTX 480, while using less power. It must be noted that the GTX 480's 250W TDP figure was controversial as they reflected typical load power for gaming applications, whereas stress benchmarks like Furmark used close to 300W, and this is the reference AMD uses for TDP ratings. It is unclear whether the 244W figure refers to gaming load or absolute TDP in stress applications.

In addition to eNet's report, purported benchmarks for the GTX 580 has leaked on the Chinese enthusiast community.
The benchmarks show an average improvement of ~17% for the GTX 580 over the GTX 480. The maximum increase is in 3D Mark Vantage - ~35%, while the minimum increase is in Resident Evil 5 ~5%. Against the Radeon HD 5870, the GTX 580 wins comfortably by an average of ~45%. The gaps are massive (~2x) in tessellation oriented benchmarks, building on GTX 480's strengths, while the DX10 benchmarks narrow the gap considerably. Unfortunately, according to these benchmarks, the GTX 580 will end up slower than AMD's previous-gen Radeon HD 5970, on average, let alone AMD's upcoming flagship - Antilles / Radeon HD 6990. GTX 580 against Cayman / Radeon HD 6950/70 is the real battle here. Naturally, we would advise you to take any such leaks with a grain of salt.

Already out with two Radeon HD 6850s, PowerColor has today introduced a third model which is known as PCS+ HD6850, has a custom cooling solution (boasting one 90mm fan and three copper heatpipes), and is factory overclocked.

This new PCS family card is said to run 15% cooler than reference HD 6850s, and has 960 Stream Processors, a core clock of 820 MHz (775 MHz stock), a 256-bit memory interface, 1GB of VRAM at 4400 MHz (4000 MHz), CrossFireX support, as well as dual-DVI, HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 output options.

The PCS+ HD6850 will be bundled with last year's hit FPS Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Radeon HD6870 with LN2: A minor fiasco

http://www.nordichardware.com/news/7...or-fiasco.html

Quote:
As late as last week we got a sample of Radeon HD6870. The idea was to test and overclock the card using liquid nitrogen. This was to show what AMD's new circuits are capable of using extreme methods. The goal was to get results for launch day, but no matter how much we wanted it just wouldn't go. The results are more or less disappointing.
