Bine v-am gasit la un alt mini-review marca Steve-o! De data asta voi prezenta, succint, noul hard disk de la Samsung si anume modelul HD502HJ cu o capacitate de 500GB. OK sa incepem:

1. Specificatii:

Interfata: SATA II
Capacitate: 500GB
Numar de platane: 1
Viteza maxima de rotatie a platanelor: 7200RPM

2. Sistemul de test

Procesor: Intel Core2Duo E7300 @ 3,63Ghz (485 X 7,5)
Placa de Baza: Gigabyte EP45-DS5 (ICH10R SB)
Memorii: A-Data Vitesta Extreme Edition 800+ @ 970Mhz (Timing-uri: 4-5-4-9)
Monitor: Samsumg SyncMaster 226BW

Pozele sunt puse ca si Attachments, aruncati o privire.

Se poate seta AAM la silent (128) ? Daca da, ce influenta are asupra zgomotului in seek si asupra timpului de acces?

HDD-urile Samsung (in general, cele noi) sunt silentioase de la mama natura asa ca nu vad rostul functiei AAM. Totusi poate o versiune noua de HD Tune sa rezolve problema ?

Incearca si cu WinAAM sau HDDScan sau Hitachi Feature Tool. Daca nici cu astea nu merge atunci e clar... Pentru mine e f important AAM-ul iar pe pagina oficiala Samsung se precizeaza faptul ca ar suporta aceasta functie.

Daca HDD-ul este silentios (si sunt 95% sigur ca este) pentru ce ar fi asa importanta functia asta, sa scada performanta pentru nimic ?

O sa iti furnizez eu informatii referitoare la silentiozitate, ca de la un pasionat de silent la altul, pana la sfarsitul saptamanii (viitoare evident) in mod normal ar trebui sa il am (daca dispare de pe stoc fac infarct, oricum a disparut laptop-ul ala pe care il vroiam...).

Poate sa fie el silentios in idle dar asta nu inseamna ca va fi silentios si in seek. Nu suport sub nicio forma sa caraie.... nu prea ma intereseaza timpul de acces atata timp cat nu caraie. La actualul WD6400AAKS cu AAM pe silent (din fabrica) nu pot face diferenta (din pdv al zgomotului) intre o scanare AV si idle.

Poate totusi incerci si cu celelalte programe pe care ti le-am indicat mai sus. Mersi!
